Market research workspace for equities, funds, macro and FX, with charting, screeners, portfolio tools and client reports priced from $0 to $299/month.
Analysts, portfolio managers and advisory teams whose constraint is the cost of a seat on a legacy terminal rather than the need for programmatic data. Koyfin's data-coverage page states it covers "over 80,000 companies worldwide" plus ETFs, mutual funds, closed-end funds, options, short interest, fixed income, FX, crypto, commodities, indices and global economics, with transcripts "going back 50 years". Its llm-info page names its sources: "Market data comes from S&P Capital IQ, SMA data from Morningstar, and news from MT Newswires."
Anyone who needs to pull data into their own models or code: no API is documented on the pricing page, the plan comparison page or the vendor's own llm-info summary. Anyone who needs a contractual position on market-data entitlements, because no Koyfin page states which feeds are real-time and which are delayed; the coverage page says only "live data". Anyone who needs a published stance on investment-advice disclaimers or adviser registration, because the footer Terms of Service link points to app.koyfin.com/terms-and-conditions, which returns only a page title to a plain fetch and no readable disclaimer text.
Pros
Cons
The data-coverage page states coverage of "over 80,000 companies worldwide" plus a live news feed and transcripts "going back 50 years". It lists ETFs, mutual funds, closed-end funds, options and short interest as "all core data across America and Canada", and separately lists global economics, currencies, crypto, commodities, indices and fixed income. The llm-info page adds "over 11,000 US SMAs" sourced from Morningstar.
Koyfin does not say. The data-coverage page describes company data and the news feed as "live", but no public page states which exchange feeds are real-time, which are delayed, or what entitlements each plan carries. The plans-comparison page shows a "45-day history*" limit on market dashboards with an unexplained footnote. Treat latency as unpublished and confirm with the vendor before relying on it.
No such statement appears on any Koyfin page that renders to a plain fetch. The marketing site carries no investment-advice disclaimer, and the footer Terms of Service link resolves to app.koyfin.com/terms-and-conditions, which returns only a page title. The privacy policy identifies the company as "Koyfin, Inc." but makes no regulatory claim. Request the terms directly if that position matters to you.
Not through a documented API. Koyfin's pricing page, plans-comparison page and its own llm-info summary make no mention of an API, so programmatic access is unconfirmed. The plan comparison does list Custom Data Series for uploading private funds, real estate and alternatives into Koyfin, and PDF brokerage statement upload capped at "20/month" on advisor tiers, but those move data in rather than out.
