Browser-based 2D takeoff and estimating with AI auto-measure, auto-count and a drawings chat agent, priced from $100 per user a month.
QS practices, cost consultants and estimators who need measurement they can defend and pricing they can budget before talking to sales. It is the most QS-shaped tool of the group: units switch between imperial and metric at any working stage, Bill of Quantities sits alongside Cost Estimates, Cost Plans and Bill of Materials as a report type, and area categories include GIA, GEA and NIA. Unlimited free guest accounts also make it workable for client-side PMs or supervisors who only need to review and comment on someone else's takeoff.
Do not buy Essential expecting AI takeoff. One-click area and line measurement, auto symbol counting, AI takeoff for rooms, walls, doors and windows, batch AI takeoff, AI scale detection and the Caddie assistant all start on Pro at $175 per user per month, so the entry price for an AI estimator is $175, not the $100 Essential headline. Teams that need the platform wired into other systems should pause: the only named third parties are the identity providers Okta, Microsoft Entra ID and OneLogin for enterprise SSO plus a Microsoft Excel add-in the vendor labels Early Access, with no Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Bluebeam or Primavera P6 named anywhere. API access is a paid add-on on Pro and only bundled from Business at $250 per user per month, where IFC export and enterprise SSO also start. The API page names the United States and United Kingdom as its optimised regions and names no others, so estimators working to other drawing conventions should test detection during the 7-day trial rather than assume it transfers.
Pros
Cons
Kreo publishes a versioned figure in its own product release notes: Auto Measure 3.0 is reported at 94% outline accuracy, up from 72% for version 2.0. That is a vendor-reported number on outline detection, not a verified total-quantity accuracy across all drawing types, and Auto Measure starts on the Pro plan, so test it against your own drawings during the 7-day trial.
Partly. Kreo lets you switch between imperial and metric at any working stage, lists Bill of Quantities as a report type, and uses GIA, GEA and NIA area categories, all of which fit metric Bill of Quantities practice. However, no measurement standard is named, the API page lists only the US and UK as optimised regions, and pricing is quoted in USD, GBP and EUR only.
The pricing page says PDF, CAD and image files are supported on every plan and lists PDF, DWG, DXF, DWF, DGN and raster under projects and files, stating you work with the documentation as sent with no conversion needed. The API page names PDF, DWG, DXF, DWF, PNG, JPG and TIFF. IFC export for BIM starts on the Business plan. Reports export to Excel, CSV and PDF.
Kreo documents three of its own APIs with published prices: Auto Measure, Core Platform and Items and Assemblies. All three are paid add-ons on Pro and bundled from Business, which includes 200 Auto Measure launches a month. But no construction platform is named anywhere on the site, including Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit and Bluebeam; the only named third parties are SSO providers and an Excel add-in.
