Enterprise ambient documentation platform built into Epic workflows, with US-only data centres, SOC 2 reports on request and no published pricing.
Large US health systems running Epic, where the buying decision involves IT, compliance and revenue cycle rather than an individual clinician. Abridge publishes the deepest Epic story of the five: Abridge Inside captures in Haiku and places drafts in Hyperspace and Hyperdrive, it was announced as Epic's first Pal in the Partners and Pals program, and note types are mapped for H&P, progress and consult notes, with emergency medicine started from the department Track Board. Its trust centre lists SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2, HIPAA, CCPA and TX-RAMP with downloadable artefacts on request.
Solo clinicians and small practices: there is no price, no plan list, no free tier and no trial anywhere on abridge.com, only a contact form. Not for practices that need data held outside the United States either, because its product pages state data is stored and processed in US-based data centres. If your EHR is not Epic you are guessing, since no other EHR is named on the product or clinician pages. Trust centre documents, including the SOC 2 report, security whitepaper and model cards, are gated behind an access request, and no public API or developer documentation is published.
Pros
Cons
Abridge publishes no pricing. There is no pricing page, tier list, seat rate, free plan or trial anywhere on abridge.com, and the only routes are a contact form and a demo request. An Impact Calculator is offered, but it models claimed platform impact rather than cost. Expect an enterprise agreement and a BAA negotiated with the health system.
Abridge publishes Abridge Inside, where the conversation is captured in Epic Haiku and the draft is reviewed in Hyperspace or Hyperdrive using Linked Evidence. The company announced it became Epic's first Pal in the Partners and Pals program, and its releases describe note mapping for H&P, progress and consult notes, emergency medicine started from the Track Board, and an early outpatient orders pilot.
The Abridge trust centre lists SOC 2 Type 1, SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, CCPA and TX-RAMP, with a security whitepaper, SOC 2 report, model cards, network diagram, pentest summary and business continuity policy available after an access request. The privacy policy states Abridge acts as a Business Associate processing data on the provider's instruction. No FDA or TGA statement is published.
Abridge publishes no availability detail outside the United States. Its product and clinician pages state data is stored and processed in US-based data centres, there is no non-US pricing or entity on the site, and no practice software such as Best Practice, Medical Director, Cliniko, Halaxy or Genie is named. Epic is the only EHR named anywhere on those pages.
